The Sensory Project
Comfort. Regulation. Success.
The Sensory Project is an initiative of Building Hope for Autism focused on meeting the sensory needs of individuals with autism and other sensory processing challenges. Whether at home, in the classroom, or out in the community, sensory tools can make all the difference—and we’re here to help make them accessible.
What We Provide
We offer carefully selected sensory items to individuals and families who need them most, including:

-
Weighted blankets
-
Noise-canceling headphones
-
Crash pads
-
Fidgets and sensory toys
-
Visual supports
-
Communication tools
Our goal is to bridge the gap between therapy and everyday life—empowering families to use the same calming and regulatory tools they rely on in school or clinical settings, right at home.

How it works
Families can apply to receive sensory equipment through our referral-based system. We collaborate with teachers, therapists, and service providers who know the child best to ensure we're meeting specific needs.

After receiving our 3 1/2 year olds diagnoses we have been faced with how to best provide him safe items for sensory and regulation. The jump pad that we were sent for him has become not only his safe place to jump and regulate but his new favorite place to rest and relax.

Building Hope for Autism Foundation has been an amazing help to my family.
They are excellent at communicating and helping fill needs for families that have members with disabilities like mine. My son had used a hugging machine in OT at
school and it was very therapeutic for him and wanted to be able to have that same
equipment at home for him.
Due to financial reasons, the equipment was out of our price range, but Building Hope for Autism Foundation supplied the finances and did the ordering of the equipment and it was shipped right to our house. They made the process easy and now my son has a sensory tool at home at his leisure.
We feel incredibly lucky and blessed we were able to work with them.
